True real haunted story

I know everyone has some scary stories about events they or an acquaintance witnessed at the hand of some crooks. Let's document these so people would know what situations they can avoid. Things like gangs, some mullahs, some mobile thieves, etc.

My story:

One of the family acquaintances, a young fella, friends was returning from a late night dinner party in Lahore. Driving along he spotted an old, well dressed man who waved at his car asking for a lift. He stopped, and the old man sat in his back seat.

He asked the old man:

Driver: "Baba ji kidhar drop kardoon?" (Where can I drop you?)

Baba: "Batata hoon, pehle sheeshay se peechay dekho" (I'll tell you but look behind through the rear view mirror).

What he saw was him flashing a lot of bombs hooked onto his jacket.

Then he told him I want you to ram your car into some police check point and I will blow up the car. Then he forced him to start searching for some police check point. All the time talking about the glories of martyrdom that he would achieve from this act. After a while he received a call, and he heard the old man say:

"Ok phir ajki operation cancel karte hain" (Alright then we'll cancel today's operation).

Then he asked him to go back to where he picked him up. He went there, before getting out of the car he reiterated his comments on martyrdom and said:

"Aj na meri, na tumhari maut likhi hui thi. Shahadat ka mauqa tumhe phir kabhi milega, bhoolna matt jo maine kaha" (Neither of us were destined to die today. You'll get your chance at martyrdom later, don't forget what I've said)

All the while the guy is like "yeah, ok, yeah".

Then he sped away like there's no tomorrow. He says he's so traumatized he's afraid to get into the car again. Imagine if he would have rammed his car and tomorrow when they identified him, people would just think he was some terrorist too.

Lesson? Never ever give anyone a ride.

Beautiful Girl

When I was in Karachi I heard a lot of ghost stories.

The most famous supernatural incident was the one that use to happen on a Road in Defence. There was a famous story or incident floating around in Karachi circles.
Several people had claimed to have seen her. She was beautiful , she wore a white saree and ... she was Dead.
Many people told me the same thing. While driving through Defence near Abdullah Shah Ghazi Mazar they were stopped by a woman asking for a lift. She was beautiful and wore a white Saree. Her hair long and black blowing in the Karachi Breeze. It was near midnight. The person asked her to sit in the car and she told him to drop her to her house. She even explained the address in detail. When the person got there however he saw that the front passenger seat was empty. She had vanished in to thin air. Obviously disturbed the man aproached the house which the woman had described as her own. An old man answered the bell and said "
I am sorry You must be another one . You see My daughter was killed by her husband and on this road and since then she comes to haunt it " . The man was terrified and drove home in a state of panick.
Now this story was really famous in Karachi when I was there. But the strange thing was that I heard it from 3 different people claiming to have had the same experience.
I remember that road it was near the graveyard and had a strange feeling when I passed it.
Though I have heard many stories I have never seen or had a supernatural experience. Are these old wives tales ?
I would like each and everyone of you to tell me one such incident that you believe to be true. It would be intresting to know how many of us have seen or heard of something like this.
Thanks

Stories of Jinn/Bhoot/Ghost - The paranormal experience

I was staying in Makkah one summer and living in an apartment under King Fahd Mosque (we were studying with the imam of the masjid). We were sleeping with about 7 of us in one room. I was lying down staring at the celing with like my leg bent up and something came and shook me real hard. everybody was sleeping so i woke one of the dudes up and he was like just go and sleep in the other room. When i went into the other room everybody was sleeping too (3 ppl) but the light was flickering and the ceiling fan was shaking back and forth and it wasnt on (the blades werent spinning) so i was like wierd and went to sleep.. bout 5 minutes later the dude that told me to go to the other room came running in and said somthing had grabbed him and covered his mouth as he was lying down... and he couldnt breathe but some how managed to say "audhibillahi..." so we were freaked and phoned the imam in the middle of the night and he came and slept in the ap that night. Also in the same apartment at night you could hear people runing and jumping in the mosque above in the middle of the night but no one was up there (we checked many times) and in one corner of the apt you could always hear sombody reciting Qur'an.. and it was the most beautiful recitation i ever heard (better than sudais and all the rest)

There was a man who went to his village masjid to pray Fajr every morning. The masjid is on a dirt road, and the front door leads directly into the prayer area. One morning when he went to pray he find no one else there, so prayed by himself at the front of the room. While he was praying he undoubtedly felt a "presence" behind him...as if there were people standing behing him. Furthermore, he felt as if there were bright a light shining behind him. After his prayer he quickly turned around to find that the room was empty, just as he entered it.
That same day he ran into a friend of his who was like "Hey, I saw that there was a huge turnout at Fajr today! I walked by the masjid and through the front door I could see rows and rows of men all dressed in white!"

Her dad was walking through some village in Pakistan late at night, and he saw a whirlwind (small tornado type thing) coming by. So he finds a rock, writes something on it in Arabic, and places it in the wind's path. When it went over it, a box of mitai was left. He was with a friend, and this guy was like O_O. He secretly took the rock, and put it in his pocket. The next time he saw a whirlwind, he did the same exact thing my great-grampa did...but instead of getting mitai, he was swept off the ground and landed 10 feet away. Confused, he went to my great gramps and tells him what happened. Turns out that the 'vaverola' who gave them the mitai was celebrating their daughter's wedding, and the one that beat him up was on his way to his son's funeral.

one more thing.theres a masjid in Madina(or Makkah, notsure).....called Masjid-e-jin(i forget the name)...
what i heard is, this masjid is packed with jins(muslim jins)...but they appear as humans there.
i wanna go there....inshAllah
yeah i heard about that too...also, i herad that the dome of the rock in Jerusalem was built by jinns
Back when I was younger and we'd visit Pakistan my relatives would tell us all sorts of stories (they loved to scare the crap out of us.) Well, we live in a village, and since we went during the summer months we'd always sleep outside on the "manjas." The manjas would have nets over them to protect us from insects, but my cousins told me that they were there to protect us from jinns and churails (witches.) According to them, if you sleep uncovered outside, jinns will rest themselves upon your feet and stare at you the whole night while you sleep.

Have you heard the story of the shoe-cobbler(right?) who was working the night before eid and was very late, and closed up shop. He went down an alley or something and was lost. A man came up to him and asked if he needed help. The shoe maker looked down and saw that the other man had pig feet, and ran. He was running when another man asked if something was wrong, and the shoe maker told him that he had just met a jinn. The other man was surprised and said he was gonna help him when the shoemaker looked down at the man and saw that he had pig feet too. So then he ran and ran, and the jinns were following him. He got home and saw somthing white at the doorway, and ran inside and locked the door. He told his wife what happened and she said that she was sure she had locked the door. What had happened was that a good muslim jinn had opened the door for him.

No matter what, I always get a little tingle down my spine when reading stories about Jinn.

A Scary Night spent in Yasin Valley

Yasin Resthouse 450x301 A Scary Night spent in Yasin Valley
My mom used to tell us scary stories, stories of old houses, old storerooms, untouched jungles, far away villages, graveyards etc, full of horror but with a good lesson in end. The main purpose of her stories was to make us brave and handle the situation by letting it go. Probably most of her stories were fictional but few true stories as well. She used to say this world is not only created for Human, but for Jins as well. All the creatures do their own work and never interfere. But there are few who interfere in your life.
May be someone interfered in mine as well, not really scary but something I witnessed. She said they make you scared to an extent that you bear the situation, or they won’t.
I am habitual of traveling alone, starting right from my grade 10 and still wandering. I was exploring the adjoining valleys of Gilgit City during summer 2009 and Yasin Valley was one of them.
It was a bright sunny day when I left Gilgit, though the clouds made it dark while I reached Gupis for lunch. Khan, my driver told me that the valley we are going to stay in is the native town of Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaahed, the first soldier from Northern Areas to receive Nishan-i-Haider.
The sun was about to set, there was no sign of any valley; the road was surrounded with huge dark mountains, and dark clouds above them added spice to the scene. It felt like a magical valley from some old fairy tale.
Suddenly mountains and the road opened up into a beautiful valley with far wide farm fields, people going back home and a small bazaar of Yasin Valley. We stopped by our Resthouse for tea known as Yasin Resthouse.
Khan told me that we should pay our visit to the rest place of Havaldar Lalik Jan before it gets dark. The valley was wide engulfed in between two big mountains. A bright sunshine behind dark clouds over the field made it a beautiful country side scene. I had a feeling that it’s going to rain. I took few shots of the place and then headed back to the rest house for dinner.
It was an old building resthouse, I can’t say the exact period but my room was huge with big walls and an only window behind my bed. I couldn’t figure what’s outside my window since it was dark. Two beds in the room had already made me uncomfortable since one was going to be unoccupied whole night. It was cold and the best remedy for me in cold is tea, so I had tea with Khan before going to bed. He left and I locked up the room.
Things didn’t seem well, or we can say it wasn’t like it should have been. But what it is to be like? I was wondering with that thought all night, having a feeling of fear, may be of being the only guest in this resthouse or of being the only person in his huge hall like room. The cause of my fear wasn’t something physical but it was aura of the place that felt different.
Anyhow, I slept peacefully with the name of Allah by the turning of the lights.
I don’t remember what time it was, I was feeling cold. It was silent outside and started to rain. I felt the presence of someone in my vicinity. That feeling woke me up but I didn’t open my eyes. It felt extreme cold, to an extent that didn’t let me open up my eyes. Of course that was just a feeling.
I gave myself another thought to sleep and forget all about it. I tried to sleep again but this time I felt something in real, the footsteps on fallen leaves outside like someone is literally walking with a slow pace in order to make me listen to each footstep. It was real and I am definitely sure that I was fully conscious and awake. Those footsteps really broke silence in the room. The window was right behind my bed but I never wanted to see outside.
Who was it? What was that sound? Who is outside my window and what is it doing that late? I thought of whatever question that came to my mind.
I again gave myself a thought to sleep and forget the whole scene but it kept on happening with continuous intervals.
I couldn’t sleep then, I had to stop this. I gave myself a thought that it’s an animal and let go back to sleep. May be I was just deviating my mind.
I turned on the lights, recited Ayatul Qursi (an ayah/verse from the Qur’an, in Surah Baqarah for protection).
My brother had taught me a lesson during childhood; to face things that scare you and it will vanish. That thought gave me courage to open the door to identify the cause. It was extreme dark and raining cats and dogs that didn’t allow me to go outside. I wish I had an umbrella!
The footsteps vanished and I slept, rain had washed away all dark clouds and the green fields turned back into the natural colors. The valley looked beautiful in morning.

I told the caretaker of resthouse and Khan about the incident. Both of them refused that they woke up in the night and went that way. The caretaker told me that there are no wild animals in this town and especially this resthouse has none due to its boundaries. It’s impossible.
Everything was fine for me, I wasn’t scared at all but there were some unanswered questions.
  1. Was the place haunted?
  2. Yes there were fallen leaves outside my window and someone walked on it. Who was it?
  3. If I was the only guest in resthouse that night, who could have walked in slow pace outside my window? Who?
  4. Why would someone walk outside my window during Rain?
  5. The leaves made a crunchy sound with each footstep, why didn’t it get soak in rain?
I will always take these questions with me and now I want to go back to the valley, stay in the same room and solve this unsolved mystery. I believed what my mom taught me; that there exist other creatures in this world that we can’t see and sometimes they do interfere, but never give you any harm.
Whatever it was, I had a beautiful day next morning, a visit to the nearby ruins of a fort and back to Gilgit City. May be that was one of my most memorable travels ever, and I may get more like this in future. Whatever it is, I won’t stop traveling.

What Was That Thing?

my name is Khizar. This story is about when I was 5 years old. I went to my cousin house. His house is in a village and in vacations I go to meet him. His house has a very big porch and 2 bedrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom and a store room. When we are playing I saw a man on the top of a wall. He was standing with an antenna. I was very scared by seeing him. I ran in the room and because it was night I did not come out. Then I slept in the room. Suddenly I woke up in the middle of night and saw him in the window.
Then we went back. On the way we stopped at my grandfather grave. There I saw a women in white clothes about 100mt away. I closed my eyes and went back to our car. I never told anyone about this incident but after this I never saw these two places again at night.
One day me and my friend were going through a street. There was a house which was not built yet. We saw something on the roof. When we put light on it there was a creature with a piece of cloth which has beads on it.
Before this my uncle saw a ghost on that wall. It was a man with his head cut. My uncle also became scared. One day my uncle was sleeping. In the dream he saw that a girl is telling him that when he will wake up he will be on bricks and his cellphone will be under the bed. When he woke up he was on bricks and his cellphone was under the bed.
My uncle also have more experiences and I too. I will tell about them in other stories.
Does someone know what I saw. Any comments will be appreciated.

The Bride

it was a week ago that my uncle came to my place. We were having a discussion on things that people think are not real when the talk led to ghosts. My uncle have had many experiences with them. I guess this one is worth telling:
My uncle and his friends were going for a drive about ten years ago when they had to go through a narrow road next to a cemetery. While driving he saw a beautiful girl dressed like a bride, actually like an indian bride (they wear sari of dark red colour). He was the one driving and he knew there were 'things' that had happened to people if they stopped to help such girls. Actually, he was into ghost stuff, he knew it was one of the haunted places and this girl was quite famous as many people had seen her, many had suffered, and many had been able to escape. He continued driving as if he hadn't seen her. After about a ten minutes of fast drive, he dared to look back only to find she was right behind the car. He screamed and drove as fast as he could (there's not much of traffic rules here especially at night, no cameras or anything. It's like do what you feel like.) He broke all the signals and started reciting prayers.
All his friends had been there all along. They too were suffering the same things. After about an hour, they came to a stop and looked back but no one was there. They all were very scared and had high fever for about more than a week. Still it is believed that if you take that road, maybe you will experience something similar. I have also told it to my other net pals but they all believe it to be some fake urban legend. Well I hope whoever reads this believes me cause I am so sure it's true.

Strange Woman In My Window

i live in Lahore, with my family in our grandfather house. We were shifted here in 2003, after the death of my Father. This house is built before partition and was owned by the Hindu family, who left this house in 1947 and was allotted to my grandfather. Coming back to the story, the first night we shifted here, I heard strange noises as if two women are talking, the language was strange. In the morning, I told my mother about it, but she said it was my imagination. I went to college and forgot the entire thing that happened last night.
It's my habit to study in night, at about 2:30; I put my books away and went into my bed. It was December night, and mist was all over the place. As I was trying to sleep, I thought I heard something, very close to me. As I opened my eyes, I saw a strange lady in my window, her face was very large and her features were like Chinese woman and her hair was black and long, I was so scared that I couldn't move an inch. That woman kept staring at me and then vanished.
I rushed to my mother's room, I told my mother and she said nothing. That night I slept with her. In the morning, my mother told that strange things do happen in this house since she was child, and that these things never did harm to any family member in the house.
Well many things still happens, but that was the scariest thing happened to me.
